The waves lapsed at the shore as a light breeze blew through the night sky.  Jin walked along the beach; the snow that had fallen earlier had already melted here and left the sand damp and cold.  The sky was clear and the waves calm, aside from the small ripples whenever the wind would pick up again.

Sitting down the Fox poke-cat looked out to the dark water with a solemn expression.  “Forgive me if I do not give any words of comfort or remorse.  This occasion are for those who came from the old island after the horrific event.”

Raising his tails, Jin closed his eyes and a faint blue light began to surround them. “This may not seem like much, but it is better than nothing. “  From the forest, white flowers began to float lazily towards the crowd of gathered cats.  “Let these flowers represent those who where the loved ones and friends lost.  As they float off into the distance, think of your fondest memories and pray for their souls to rest.  From now on, let these following nights be known as The Fortnight of Memories.”
