Nikki had gave a soft kiss on Sparx's head and spoke in a gentle tone. "If mommy doesn't come back find Lionel, Mizu or even your father and Kyubuki...just stay put please..." And with that the Lilligant was gone. It was already a few hours that the grass-type was gone and the Chinchou was sitting very quietly in the pokemon center as the war seemed as if it were coming to an end. Sadly for the trainer, she had been hit by some blows after she left her son all alone...and now was staggering in the Twon Square...right in front of the City Hall. Blood staining her leaves as she painfully let all fours collapse from beneath. A Velvet-like blanket covered her...she was lying on her deathbed...waiting for her mother to come for her. How could it end like this...why must it end... Eyes slowly fluttered closed as her pulse slowed beat at a time until it would come to the very end of its small beginning of a life the Lilligant had dreamed for and built of. Nikki's life flashed before her eyes as the warm embrace of darkness overwhelmed her, the red thread that head to life was yanked and almost torn. Ache filled her as she longed to stay awake. But then.
"There's nothing to fear my child, you are done...there's nothing left for you to do but rest in peace..."
Standing beside her broken form was the glowing figure of her own mother... "M....Mo...Mother....!" But was she tried reaching a paw out to the glowing Lilligant -wounds of being crushed still showed but were no longing bleeding- were stopped. Her mother slowly laid down next to the trainer, and gently lapped at the bleeding wounds. "You have done well my daughter...in the time you had in this life....you lived it well...just like my mother and father did....you became something that I couldn't my precious baby...there's nothing in this world for you to regret. Come..time is up..."Seeing that it was the embrace of her mother awaiting her...Nikki gladly accepted.
With that, her pulse stopped completely and the Lilligant's body just laid there, a soft smile on her face.

Sparx was not going to wait no longer, and ran to go find Lionel. His cross grey eyes flickering to find the Lucario, panic flooded his heart. Soon relief came when he had found the poke-cat he had been searching for. "Lionel!" The tiny kit wailed as he scrambled towards the trainer.
Lionel's vision snapped to the chinchou tom approaching him and immediately noticed the look in his eyes. It made the lucario uneasy.

"....mommy said to come find you if she didn't come back..." Sparx spoke, his voice gone that had been a wail went all plain as if something horrible happened... "Mommy didn't come back for me..."
Lionel went stiff and his eyes widened in shock. "H-How long...?" He began, but he cut himself off. He began backing away, lowering his head and beginning to take in shorter breaths. She's fine, he reassured himself, She has to be fine. Right?
"....mommy said to come find you if she didn't come back..." Sparx spoke, his voice gone that had been a wail went all plain as if something horrible happened... "Mommy didn't come back for me..."
Lionel went stiff and his eyes widened in shock. "H-How long...?" He began, but he cut himself off. He began backing away, lowering his head and beginning to take in shorter breaths. She's fine, he reassured himself, She has to be fine. Right?
"C-Come on, Sparx. W-We need to f-f-find N-Nikki," he stuttered, raising his head and trying to be as strong as be could. "Y-You don't know where sh-she is, do y-you?"
The poke-kit shook his head slowly. "She left the Pokemon Center...I think maybe towards Town Square..." He remembered the area during the time the Champion had herded the class about the Island with history lessons. But after a few moments, Sparx stared up at Lionel, his eyes dull as if he were feeling no emotion. "Mommy isn't coming back is she?"
Lionel did not meet the kit's gaze. After a long pause, Lionel hastily picked up the kit and put him onto his back.
The poke-kit shook his head slowly. "She left the Pokemon Center...I think maybe towards Town Square..." He remembered the area during the time the Champion had herded the class about the Island with history lessons. But after a few moments, Sparx stared up at Lionel, his eyes dull as if he were feeling no emotion. "Mommy isn't coming back is she?"
Lionel did not meet the kit's gaze. After a long pause, Lionel hastily picked up the kit and put him onto his back.
"Let's just t-try and find h-her," he began again, "hold on tight."
The lucario began running as fast as he could towards the center of town square. He made sure to keep moving so as not to be caught in any fights and glanced around very often in case the lilligant was beside him rather than in front of him.
Soon something warm and sticky came into contact with the Lucariou's paw, blood was still oozing out of a certain poke-cat's body as she laid there, eyes close and still.
With a high-pitched yelp Lionel jumped back and shivered at the sight of the blood on his paws. Suddenly his eyes widened and he looked towards the source: a red-stained lilligant limp on the ground.

He made a shuddering noise almost like a quiet scream and bolted towards her. His breathing picked up into something like a pant and he felt tears invading the edges of his eyes.
"Nikki!" He screeched before pressing a paw to her chest. He waited for a second before stiffly walking backwards, tears finally beginning to stream don his face.
"She... She's d-dead..." He stuttered out quietly before shaking and crumpling into a heap on the ground. He clenched his eyes together for a moment before opening them again and sitting up.
"We... We need to find a safe place...." he said, turning back to Sparx, "W-We'll get Nikki when everything is s-said and done..."
Sparx stood there quietly, everything that his mother loved...being a trainer...this was the price paid to be something she cared so much for. The Chinchou didn't live long to even get to know Nikki! And now, the sweet and protective Lilligant he dearly clung to...had slipped from his grasp without a single noise. Legs were frozen as blood stained his paws, his grey crosses trembling in his eyes as he started at Nikki's dead body. As much as the poke-kit loved his mother....she would not want him to be a trainer would she? No, she would let him choose his own path, like she had chosen the death bed that had awaited her... Sparx didn't reply Lionel at all, but gave a soft nod.
Lionel stood in silence for a moments, staring at Sparx and wondering how he felt. He couldn't think straight very well due to shock, but still, he knew the kit was going through more than he was. And how was Nikki's mate going to react? Lionel shook his head to clear his thoughts: his brain was hurting too much.
Quickly he picked up Sparx and put him onto his back again before glancing around and running as fast as his legs could carry him all the way back to the pokecenter.
